Zero Degrees of Empathy
Prof. Simon Baron-Cohen,from Cambridge University, presents his research on zero empathy.
Lecture by Prof. Simon Baron-Cohen on empathy and zero degrees of empathy. In this lecture, as described in his book: Zero Degrees of Empathy, Prof. Baron-Cohen explains how lack of empathy is a common negative behavioral factor in the narcissistic, borderline and antisocial personality disorder.
In contrast, he also describes how zero degrees of empathy can become a positive behavioral factor for individuals suffering from autistic spectrum and related condition disorders (E.g. Asperger’s), since this attribute makes them particularly creative individuals in their everyday lives.
